Character is Fate: Indians Spoke,
Custer Did Not Listen

(36" x 40", oil on Masonite)

Crow Indian scout, "Ashishishe" Curley, faces Custer. Custer is advised not to enter into the valley of Little Bighorn.
Near the horizon, in the middle distance, the artist portrays what awaited Custer on that fateful day, June 25, 1876. Four Crow scouts (including Curley) pay tribute to those who fell at the Battle of Little Bighorn.
